Re: 2007 STX 12F Checkup Your problem is most likely the idle speed controller, it is a common issue. Listen and see if you hear it actuate about 4 seconds after the engine shuts down. If you don't hear a ratcheting/buzzing kinda noise then it's bad. Expensive but an easy fix..
